The South African Police Service has opened over 83 entry-level General Worker posts nationwide under DPSA Circular 23 of 2026, covering Cleaner, Food Service Aid, Garden Worker and Messenger roles. Locations include Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Bloemfontein, Bhisho, Mthatha, Ulundi and Polokwane.

The posts pay R144,024 a year (Salary Level 02) and close 17 July 2026 at 16:00. No Matric is required — applicants need ABET Level 4, Grade 9 or Standard 7, basic literacy and numeracy, and proficiency in English plus one other official language.
