The Free State Department of Human Settlements has opened 37 graduate internship posts for unemployed Free State residents. Positions are based in Bloemfontein, Thabo Mofutsanyana District, Fezile Dabi District and Qwaqwa, and applications close 31 July 2026 at 16:00. The 24-month contracts pay a stipend of R8,174.75 a month and cover fields including Public/Office Administration, Law, Urban & Regional Planning, Supply Chain Management, IT, HR, Finance/Accounting, Internal Auditing, Corporate Communication, Labour Relations, Civil Engineering and Policing/Forensics. Applicants need Grade 12 plus an NQF Level 6/7 qualification relevant to the post, and must never have held a Public Service internship before.
