VKB Milling is investing in the future of agriculture by inviting bright, determined individuals to join their Louis Trichardt operation. Through a blended learning model — mixing hands-on experience with academic training — learners will gain deep insight into the mechanics and importance of Quality Control in a fast-paced milling environment.
What You’ll Be Doing – Job Description Highlights:
- Assisting in quality control checks throughout the maize milling production process
- Monitoring product standards and helping ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Recording, analyzing, and interpreting data related to product quality
- Conducting lab tests under supervision to maintain VKB’s gold-standard product integrity
- Collaborating with production staff to identify quality issues and support continuous improvement
- Learning best practices in sampling, inspecting, and quality assurance protocols
- Supporting inventory control, hygiene standards, and reporting discrepancies to senior technicians

Candidate Requirements:
- Must be currently unemployed
- Minimum: Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
- Tertiary qualification (Diploma/Degree) in Food Science, Agriculture, Biotechnology, or a related field is a strong advantage
- Comfortable working in industrial environments
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail, with an analytical mindset
- Reliable, eager, and adaptable — open to working shifts if necessary
- Willingness to work under supervision and take initiative
- A passion for quality, precision, and safe food handling practices
