What is the Nedbank YES Programme?
The Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme is a business-driven initiative in collaboration with the government to tackle youth unemployment. Through this programme, unemployed youth receive quality work experience that enhances their career prospects and prepares them for the job market or entrepreneurship.
As one of the biggest supporters of this initiative, Nedbank has already helped over 5,000 young South Africans build a brighter future. Now, in 2025, the bank is continuing its commitment to empowering the youth by offering 12-month work opportunities across various branches and offices nationwide.
Programme Details
- Applications: Currently Closed
- Duration: 12 months
- Work Experience Locations: Nedbank branches, offices, and sites across South Africa
- Work Model: Depending on the role, some positions may allow for hybrid or remote work
- Work Schedule: May include weekdays, weekends, and public holidays based on role requirements
- Stipend: A monthly stipend will be provided to assist with living, food, and travel-related expenses
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for the Nedbank YES Programme, you must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Between 18 and 29 years old
- Education: Matric qualification required
- Employment Status: Currently unemployed
- Student Status: Not studying full-time or part-time
- Citizenship: South African-born African, Coloured, or Indian citizens as per the BBBEE Act definition of ‘black people’
- Programme History: Must not have participated in a YES Programme with another organization before
