Key Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst, BI will have a diverse and dynamic role focused on enabling continuous improvement and optimising business performance. Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Alignment
- Guide business unit improvement teams to achieve targets that support Exxaro’s corporate strategy.
- Translate Business Improvement (BI) strategies into actionable plans at functional levels.
Performance Optimisation
- Design and manage improvement processes that drive efficiency and enhance decision-making.
- Implement metrics that track the effectiveness of initiatives and support data-driven improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment across business units.
- Promote stakeholder satisfaction by ensuring clear communication, collaboration, and follow-through on key initiatives.
Project Management
- Manage multiple breakthrough projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Oversee project planning, progress tracking, issue resolution, and budget control.
Business Analysis & Root Cause Analysis
- Lead comprehensive business performance reviews to identify areas of improvement.
- Facilitate root cause analysis to address performance gaps and implement lasting solutions.
Knowledge Sharing & Integration
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and creativity.
- Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and integration of best practices across business units.

- Ensure full compliance with Safety, Health, Environment and Community (SHEC) requirements.

Minimum Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering (B Eng) or an equivalent relevant qualification (Essential).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (Recommended/Desirable).
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (Recommended/Desirable).
- 6 to 8 years’ experience in business improvement, business excellence, or related fields (Essential).
- Demonstrated ability in business performance analysis and operational excellence.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, tracking, and budget control.
- Proven track record in stakeholder relationship management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to develop and implement Business Improvement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- A passion for continuous learning, innovation, and creative business solutions.
- Psychometric assessment and a valid Certificate of Fitness (both essential and facilitated by Exxaro).
